Alphabet

For this brief we were asked to think creatively and recreate an alphabet from images.

After researching other artists work on this style i was finding it very hard to come up with ideas and inspiration and i felt like it had been very overdone.

I then came up with the idea of taking a non traditional alphabet and creating my work that way.

I had a glance at the Egyptian alphabet and loved that it was already rested out of images but i could recreate those images.

On reflection of the brief i feel as though it has made me think differently about the way certain shapes can be used. Although i did see this more in the editing process rather than out in the field so some images were created by chance. I feel a little disappointed by my final piece as i don’t feel as though its got as much kick or impact as i wanted. I can always chose to continue this piece in my spare time as i feel as though a little bit more time could have been beneficial.
